I began my career studying Fashion Design at Alabama A&M University in Huntsville, AL. There, I was able to master my pattern making and designing skills. Born and raised in Lynchburg, TN, I did not have the exposure to fashion and style that many of my contemporaries had. My first glimpse of what would drive my passion came in the form of “old Hollywood” movies I loved to watch with my mother. I was absolutely mesmerized by the sparkle and glamor of all the beautiful pieces of art worn in those films.
When I’m designing, I am inspired by architecture, print, shape, and/or color. No matter where the inspiration is derived, every design focuses on how I can flatter each type of woman’s body. I understand the wide variety of shapes and sizes that women may have and I truly believe that every woman can look and feel great if the clothes are tailor-made to fit her body. My technical knowledge of a garment’s proper fit combined with my innate creative abilities, results in designs that reflect the type of woman I am; sophisticated, unpredictable, edgy, and fun.
I have hosted numerous fashion shows within my career and work as a freelance designer for a plethora of satisfied clients across the Southeast Region. I have very recently relocated to California so I look forward to expanding and challenging myself in new ways! I am currently expanding into Men’s Apparel and Accessories; my goal is to open a boutique that allows me to sketch customized designs for my clients which allows them to receive the full Jade Anthoni experience.
Photography has quickly become another love of mine. I have always been intrigued by photographs and art in general; therefore, when I was given the opportunity to study photography I jumped at the chance! Designing Fashion and Photography Composition allows me to use my creativity; it’s a form of therapy and a true passion of mine. I understand and appreciate the gift that God has given me.
